Truck mounted crane, also known as truck mounted lifting and transportation vehicle, is a device that uses hydraulic lifting
and telescopic systems to lift, rotate, and lift goods. It is usually installed on cargo trucks. It generally consists of a truck
chassis, cargo compartment, power take-off, and crane. According to the type of crane, it is divided into straight arm type
and folding arm type. According to tonnage, it is divided into 2 tons, 3.2 tons, 5 tons, 6.3 tons, 8 tons, 10 tons, 12 tons, 16
tons, and 20 tons. Precautions during the operation of the on-board crane: 1) Understand the size of the lifted cargo, find the
distance from the center of the cargo to the center of the crane column, and check the lifting capacity parameters of the
crane based on the distance. 2) The lifting capacity (torque) of the crane is fixed, and the larger the working radius of the
crane. The lighter the lifted cargo, the smaller the working radius, and the heavier the lifted cargo. (The working radius refers
to the horizontal distance from the center of the torque to the hook.)- 3) Considering the lifting capacity of the crane and the
load-bearing capacity of the chassis, the larger the beam, the better. If the crane is larger and the chassis is smaller, it will
cause deformation and fracture of the beam. A smaller chassis reduces the power of the engine, which affects the lifting
capacity of the crane. So when considering a 230mm beam, we choose a crane weighing less than 3 tons. When considering
a 250mm beam, consider a crane weighing less than 6 tons. A 280mm beam can be equipped with a crane weighing less than
8 tons. A crane weighing less than 10 tons can be considered for chassis with rear eight wheels and front four wheels.
